A loud weekend supporting rural and remote communities
For the rev heads and for those who just love a great family day out, the Oz Aid Race Day had something for everyone. Yes – there was drag racing and burn outs but there was a real family atmosphere with face painting, jumping castles, an amazing performance by country singer, Mik Oberle and lots of yummy food on offer. We also were visited by Jon Krause, Member for Scenic Rim and local Councillor, Michael Enright.
There was a sense of community spirit as the race goers dug deep to support Rural Doctors Foundation with Jon, a local from Jimboomba walking away with a Helicopter Flight for two over the Gold Coast, kindly donated by John Tetley of Racers World. Mario and his friend Steve from Joe’s Diner were the lucky recipients of a day trip to Lady Musgrave Island and an afternoon aquaduck water adventure, generously organised by Nathan Clarke, who was the force behind this amazing event!
