About Stephen
Stephen is the Treasurer of Rural Doctors Foundation.
Specialising in finance, international trade, agricultural commodities and energy sectors, Stephen has spent his career working with rural communities. Using his finance and investment experience, Stephen supports rural communities to build sustainable community and business frameworks, to enable their growth both here in Australia, and overseas.
Stephen understands the challenges and remoteness these communities face in maintaining and delivering services.

Stephen's Journey
Stephen embraces the vision and purpose of Rural Doctors Foundation. He is passionate about providing rural Australians with equitable access to health care. He knows this support will enable rural communities to develop and grow. Such growth is for the benefit all Australians, with the richness that our rural and remote regions provide to the nation.
Stephen’s early childhood experiences in regional-rural area of south east Queensland shaped his love for rural communities.
Although Stephen now lives in the big smoke of Sydney NSW, his heart remains in rural Australia.

Community and Family
Amanda believes rural medicine is special. She sees the importance of a tight-knit community to have doctors with a diverse range close by. That way, they are not having to travel thousands of kilometres to a doctor or city that they are unfamiliar with.
In her spare time, Amanda loves helping the kids with the horses at pony club and long walks along the beach. She also enjoys family holidays (with no Wi-Fi!).
