About Jaide

Jaide works as a Sterilisation Supervisor in Cairns Private Hospital and is currently studying human anatomy and physiology at Central Queensland University (CQU) in Cairns.  Jaide has a passion for learning and growing and is preparing for entry into the Doctor of Medicine Program at Griffith University.

Jade was a former Emergency Dispatcher for Queensland Ambulance Services and is well versed in handing crisis situations in rural and remote communiites.

Now an aspiring doctor, I am passionate about improving healthcare accessibility in rural and remote communities. It is a personal mission to give back to the communities that gave so much to me.”

Jaide's journey

Jaide’s aspiration to become a doctor has seen her work in many areas of medicine.  She has been engaged in research at James Cook University examining plant and parasitic excretions compounds for potential medicine.  This demonstrates her commitment! 

No stranger to stepping up as needed, Jaide provides training and mentorship to her team in ensuring adherence to best practice in sterilisation processes and surgical instrumentation processing. 

Jaide is excited by the opportunity to study medicine and to combine all her skills and knowledge to providing quality health care to rural communities.

And, her personal story

Jaide grew up in the Cape in Northern Queensland and was raised by a single mum.  Her mum inspired her as Jaide observed her in her role as a rural nurse.  Jaide is following in her footsteps giving back to community and advocating for better health in rural and remote communities.
