Facing Hell to raise vital funds for rural communities!

Raising the stakes with a Queensland champion in our team

Zac Cunningham is a man on a mission.  As the Queensland State Champion for the age group 30-34, Zac is gunning for a podium finish at the gruelling Hell of the West event in 2023.

In 2022, Zac finished the race in 4 hours and 15 minutes – one  hour faster than his first event back in 2018. Zac is currently in training ready to deliver another personal best, and hopefully a podium finish.

Zac and his wife Susie, have a real passion and commitment to rural communities. When we approached Zac to  raise funds for Rural Doctors Foundation, there was no hesitation. Zac is helping to deliver better health care for rural communities.

Hell of the West is a murky 2km swim, a burning 80km cycle and a 20km hot as hell run.

And surprisingly, there are many who choose to complete this gruelling course at the annual event in Goondiwindi.

The event will be held on 25 and 26 March 2023.  Rural Doctors Foundation have a group of committed doctors and supporters willing to tackle this hellish course. They are raising funds for much needed medical equipment and services.

Last year, three doctors – Anna Carswell, Sarah Gleeson and Matt Masel raised over $6,000 for the Foundation.  And, they are doing it again! They will be joined by Zac Cunningham, his mate Aaron Collis and Courtney Coyne from Minter Ellison.  All are ready to face Hell to show their support for rural communities.

Support them as they face this hellish course by sponsoring them. Help them to provide better health care for those living remotely.
