About Lauren

Lauren is an avid reader when she finds time between juggling her roles as wife, mum to two gorgeous girls and her time writing for us. Lauren loves the outdoors and can often be found hiking or riding her bicycle around the beautiful seaside town in which she lives – and she is just as happy in her garden! Lauren also loves to travel and spent twelve months abroad travelling around the UK. She has only recently travelled to South America.

Love of words and the outdoors

Lauren loves words – she is a journalist at heart and creative and feature writing is her passion. At university, she majored in Journalism and Film & Television. She also interned as a radio journalist for 101.5fm

She has worked as a copywriter for Simjen and as a content and social media specialist at the Australian Institute of Management.

Living in a small town

Lauren is proud to live and work in a rural town on the rugged north coast of Tasmania, nestled between the ocean and farmland. She understands the joys and challenges of living rurally, and believes that all Australians, regardless of location, deserve access to high-quality health services.

Having worked in journalism, marketing and communications for over 10 years, Lauren is using her writing skills to shine a light on rural healthcare and help it get the attention it deserves.
