Bush bash for bush doctors

Bush bash for bush doctors
Business Network International (BNI) Oasis know how to party - and to raise funds

The Bush Bash for Bush Doctors fundraising event held at Brookfield Hall was a huge success, raising over $11,000 for Rural Doctors Foundation.

Business Network International (BNI) Oasis hosted a fun evening that included live entertainment, bush dancing, amazing raffle prizes and a delicious menu, all in the name of fundraising for our rural doctors.

The MC for the evening was Tony Meredith, who kept the evening rolling along, culminating in an auction that raised more than $1,300.

Among the attendees was Dr Christian Rowan, State Member for Moggill and Shadow Minister for Education and the Arts. Christian addressed the crowd highlighting the importance of keeping our rural doctors in rural communities, to ensure that those living in the bush get access to the same level of health care that we enjoy living close to the city.

The funds raised on the night will go towards keeping our rural doctors in our rural communities by providing much needed equipment and support.

Fran Avon, CEO of Rural Doctors Foundation, attended the event alongside Executive Assistant, Janelle McCarron.  “We both enjoyed the evening immensely.  We were kept busy behind the bar, making sure the thirsty crowd were well watered.  Bush dancing is great exercise, and so much fun.  We are very grateful to BNI Oasis for their hard work and generosity in supporting the work of Rural Doctors Foundation. It was so great to see everyone, young and old having such a wonderful time”.
