Chinchilla Medical Practice
Bringing care closer
In rural health the right equipment can make all the difference
At the heart of Chinchilla Medical Practice is Dr Waseem Gazale, a rural GP whose journey has been shaped by a deep commitment to the people of Queensland.
Educated locally and with a wealth of experience across rural communities, Dr Gazale’s story is one of genuine care and connection. He is inspiring our younger generation of rural doctors playing an active role in their education and training.
A life dedicated to rural health

“There’s a special satisfaction in knowing you’ve helped someone feel better, even in small ways, every single day,” he shares.
“We see the relief on our patients’ faces when they realise they don’t have to make a long trip for something so simple.”
Dr Waseem Gazale - Chinchilla Medical Practice
For Dr Gazale, Chinchilla is more than just a place to work, it’s a community to belong to. The supportive team at Chinchilla Medical Practice and the gratitude of the local community are what make the role truly special. “The peaceful life here, with its lively residents, makes every day rewarding”, shares Dr Gazale.
With a sponsorship from CS Energy, Rural Doctors Foundation were able to provide Chinchilla Medical Practice with a Vorotek Ear Loupe and Ear Suction pack. This equipment has improved practices and patient care within the clinic. Before, patients with recurring ear wax build-ups often had to travel long distances for treatment – a real challenge in rural Queensland. Now, with the ear loupe, the team can resolve these issues in Chinchilla, saving patients time and discomfort.
“It’s wonderful to be able to offer this service locally,” Waseem explains. “We see the relief on our patients’ faces when they realise they don’t have to make a long trip for something so simple.” The ear loupe hasn’t just made life easier for patients – it’s strengthened the sense of care and connection within the community. Families know they can rely on their local practice for help and with the ear loupe, our patients no longer need to travel long distances for simple procedures.
The support of Rural Doctors Foundation and CS Energy has made a real, tangible difference
in the lives of Chinchilla residents, bringing quality healthcare closer to home.
