If your loved one’s heart was in the bush there is no better way to honour that than giving to programs that support the special people that live there.

Rural Doctors Foundation is a group of rural doctors and their supporters who are caring for, committed to, and connected with the places where they live and work. We exist to do as much as possible to help rural and remote Australians live healthier lives. That means doing all we can to close the gaps that exist in rural and remote healthcare. A donation in memory of a loved one can help us work directly with rural communities when they need it most.
How to make a donation in memory of a loved one
Donating in memory is a personal thing, and you will know what feels right for you, and your loved one’s memory. Below, we have listed a few options when it comes to setting up a donation in memory of a loved one.
Anonymous donation
Not everyone wishes to acknowledge their donation publicly. If you prefer to make an anonymous donation, you are able to do this. You can donate through our donation area to give your gift privately. We thank you in advance, and offer our deepest sympathies at this difficult time.
One-off donation with acknowledgement
You can also choose to make a single donation in memory of a loved one. Simply donate to Rural Doctors Foundation and acknowledge the donation in memoriam. This will let us know about your donation, and the legacy you have chosen to leave on behalf of your loved one.
Fundraise in memory
You can also choose to fundraise via a memory page, allowing friends and family to contribute to your loved one’s legacy. In times of grief, a memory page can be a lovely way to share thoughts, memories, and expressions of hope. Both for you, and your family and friends.
Should you choose to, you could also invite friends and family to share the page with their wider networks. This means your loved one’s legacy can make an even bigger difference. Your page can be customised with your loved one’s photo and a heartfelt description. You can also link to it on social media if you choose to share it there.

Make a donation in memory of a loved one by creating a memory page through our donations platform. An ‘in memorial’ page is a beautiful way to remember them and publicly acknowledge the contribution you have made on their behalf for the health of rural and remote Queenslanders. Your page can be customised with your loved one’s photo and a heartfelt description.
Here’s how you create a page:
- Go to our create a memory page area.
- Create an account, or login to an existing account.
- Add details of your loved one and upload a photo.
- Share a brief description about what supporting the Rural Doctors Foundation in their memory means.
- Once published, you can share your link with friends and family, inviting them to also give in memoriam or you can leave it as a private memory of their legacy.
