Big Dry Friday is a major fundraising initiative to support those living in rural and remote communities.  Morgans selected Rural Doctors Foundation as a beneficiary of the 2022  event. We are extremely grateful for their very generous support.

Roche 
GPs 4 rural docs 

We are extremely grateful to Roche for their generous funding in a three year-partnership agreement. Their funding will be used to support our GPs 4 rural docs program which is providing much needed face to face health services to our rural health practitioners.

Protecting Warwick and Millmerran against COVID

With a grant provided by Acciona Energia, Rural Doctors Foundation provided Medihoods to the rural hospitals in Warwick and Millmerran. These lifesaving devices protect doctors, nurses and patients against the spread of COVID and other infectious diseases. 

 

Aurizon Community  Giving Fund 
Providing emergency kits for rural doctors 

With funds provided by Aurizon Community Fund, Rural Doctors Foundation is continuing to provide emergency medical kits to doctors supporting rural and remote communities.

Community Benefit Fund 
Protecting rural communities against COVID

With funds provided by the Community Benefit Fund and support provided by Queensland Health, Rural Doctors Foundation provided Medihoods and replacement covers to over 120 hospitals. 

 
Kestrel Coal  
Providing emergency equipment 

Kestrel Coal have supported Rural Doctors Foundation by providing emergency medical equipment such as COVID Medihoods and Defibrillators to communities in the Emerald region.  

NAB Foundation
Providing emergency kits for first responders
With the support of NAB Foundation, Rural Doctors Foundation has been able to provide first responders in rural communities with emergency kits fully equipped with the medical equipment required at the scene of rural accidents such as tractor injuries or road crashes.

Hibernian Race Club
Raising funds to support rural communities
The Hibernian Race Day is an annual horse racing  event and Rural  Doctors Foundation has been selected as the charity partner until 2024.  Profits raised from this event support the work of Rural Doctors Foundation.

Doctors supporting doctors

Gundy Medical Muster provided funds from their art event auction to support the work of  Rural Doctors Foundation. Doctors supporting doctors!

Independent, confidential colleague to colleague support service  

Doctors’ Health Qld provides support  for doctors and medical students through their 24/7 helpline, wellbeing events, education and advocacy. We are extremely grateful for their support and skilling of our general practitioners and rural doctors. 

 
Doctors Health SA 
Supporting our doctors and medical students  

Doctors’ Health SA offers independent support services for doctors and medical students. They have developed a range of training programs and offer 24/7 support.  They deliver education and advocate for improved health for doctors, particularly in rural regions.   

RDAQ
Advocating for more doctors in rural Queensland 

Rural Doctors Association of Queensland (RDAQ) supports rural doctors and is a tenacious advocate for improved health outcomes across for remote and rural Queensland.  Their support for Rural Doctors Foundation extends back many years and they were instrumental in the formation of the Foundation back in 2016.
